“I’m ready,” I said, taking a deep breath. Mom and Daniel gave me a big hug. “You’re more than ready, champ,” they said, embracing me. “Now, head towards the north of the map.”

Tears began to swell, as I knew this lifelong mystery would soon come to a close. I would finally meet my biological dad in a slither.io room.

As soon as my biological dad’s snake came into my snake’s field of view, I instantly knew it was him. The way he collected the little food particles and slithered around just clicked, like a memory I had forgotten.

“Michael? Is that really you? I’m sorry I couldn’t be the dad you needed in your life.” he spelled out in cursive using his snake avatar. “I’m so, so sorry.”

“It’s okay! It’s okay!” I wanted to spell out, but my hand was jittery and also I hadn’t eaten enough particles to make my snake longer. But he seemed to know what I was saying. I tried to give my dad a big hug, but it ended up killing his snake.
